OPEN CALL MOSAÏQUE 06 - The fear of beginning 

OPEN CALL for artists, creatives & researchers of all disciplines til 21.02.24

Do you sometimes struggle to really start your creative project? Are you looking for feedback and exchange? Would you like to open up your process? 

We want to hear about it and share ideas in our the 5th edition of MOSAÏQUE:

MOSAÏQUE is a feedback format for opening up creative processes from different disciplines. In doing so, we want to enable cross-disciplinary exchange about working methods and intermediate states. MOSAÏQUE focuses on the process itself, the "failed" and the unfinished, and celebrates the moment of raw creation away from presenting finished, polished work. 

Each edition has a specific focus. This time: the fear of beginning and possible strategies to overcome it. The format aims to be a contribution to collective learning and to counteract the cliché that artists have finished their education after studies and the associated “secrecy“ surrounding their working methods. MOSAÏQUE thus responds to the need of artists, creatives and researchers not only to present finished projects, but also to have an exchange about the current state of research, development processes and working methods. We want to give this exchange its own space. 

All people, regardless of their level of experience, are invited to send in their projects and join the public sharing of MOSAÏQUE on 21.02.24 - to look, experience and discuss together.

LET'S FAIL TOGETHER! 

HARD FACTS:
 

- 2h joint meeting before 

- 2h follow-up talk after the sharing

- 2h try-out time at LOT

- Individual feedback methods for each project which we will develop

- Public sharing with 2,3 other projects & moderated audience exchange on 21.03.24

- The presentation should be doable under technically

    simple circumstances 

- It would be nice, if you open up  your process, for collective learning. 

- In the final selection we will try to invite as many different disciplines as possible

- Important: We are calling for projects that are still in process!

Briefly explain your relationship to the topic and your approach to it.
 

FORMAT: What does it mean to you to open up your process? What do you hope to achieve by participating in this format?
 

4. INFO: Short bio and information about you and the artists involved.
 

Length: max. 1000 characters for each point, plus max. 2 attachments in PDF (photos, video link, text, etc. no portfolio!).

Here's the deal: You dare to open up your process, we take care of the ideal framework for you to do you. We prepare professional methods and moderate the conversation. You get honest feedback to your current state of process, the other participants and the audience get an insight into different creative working methods and all together benefit from an inspiring exchange.
